Social Media Ads

For The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Hire platform, I designed a series of digital ads to promote their job board services. Through A/B testing, I focused on using vibrant, modern illustrations to highlight the platform's benefits. The result was an engaging ad campaign that resonated with the target audience and boosted platform engagement.

Project Overview:

For The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Hire platform, I was tasked with designing a series of promotional ads to showcase their job board services, providing access to a highly engaged pool of professionals in higher education. The goal was to create visually compelling ads that resonated with both employers and job seekers, effectively driving traffic to the platform.

Challenge:

One of the key challenges in this project was determining the right visual approach to capture attention and boost engagement. Through A/B testing, I explored two distinct styles: illustrations and photography. For this particular set of ads, I chose to use illustrations as the primary visual medium. This allowed for creative freedom to convey the platform’s dynamic, modern, and digital-first nature while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic that aligned with The Chronicle’s brand.

Solution:

I developed a series of illustrated ads, incorporating blue tones, clean lines, and engaging visuals to draw attention and communicate the key benefits of Hire—access to a top-tier talent pool, seamless recruitment, and a connection to higher education professionals. The illustrations were designed to be visually striking yet simple, with clear calls to action that encouraged users to learn more about the platform.

Results:

The use of illustrations in the ads resulted in a highly engaging visual experience that stood out across various digital platforms. The ads successfully communicated Hire's offerings while maintaining a consistent and professional tone. A/B testing confirmed that the illustrative approach resonated strongly with the target audience, leading to increased engagement and higher click-through rates for the platform.
